The following are some of the most frequently asked
questions regarding the affixing services provided for
Direct Impact Products.

Q: What is affixing?

A: Affixing is the automatic placement or gluing of a
value-added item onto a host direct marketing piece.
These host pieces can come in a variety of formats such
as magazine inserts, brochures, book covers, envelopes,
letters, and various other promotional pieces. Affixed items
can have great impact in grabbing the attention of a
desired target market.  

Q: What are the minimum and maximum sizes of the host document that can be handled by your equipment?

A: The minimum size of a host document is: 4” x 4”.  The maximum size is: 17” x 17”.

Q: What are the minimum and maximum sizes of the items to be affixed?

A: The minimum size of an affixed item is:1-1/8” x 1-1/2”.  The maximum size is: 8” x 10”.

Q: What flexibility do I have on the placement of the affixed item?

A: Placement of the affixed item can be anywhere on the host document, provided that the affixed item is no closer than ˝” from any edge of the host.

Q: Can the host document be folded after affixing an item to it?

A: Yes. FormStore Incorporated has the ability to fold a host document twice after affixing an item to it. Contact your FormStore Direct Impact Product representative for the types and configurations on the folds.

Q: Can you fold and seal the host into a self-mailer?

A: Yes. FormStore Incorporated has the ability to fold and seal the host so that it becomes its own self-mailer.

Q: Can I supply all the artwork and items necessary for my project?

A: Yes. Typically, our clients supply all of the items to be used. However, FormStore Incorporated can supply any of the components that our clients may need, including artwork.

Q: What is the typical time between order placement and order delivery?

A: Due to the complexity and size of projects, each affixing order is treated on an individual basis. We work with our clients to set a mutually agreed upon delivery schedule. We do request that delivery discussions begin immediately upon you being awarded the order by your client so that a timely delivery schedule can be achieved.
